I am rooting for Tafoya in Minnesota, and Collins and Maine and a half dozen Democrats in competitive House races even though as readers of the blog know I am pushing a pragmatic progressive economic agenda that would achieve many objectives of the Democratic Party. I also differ from the view that in general election time everything is about winning. Everything should be putting country over party all the time.
This is an example of what Jews around the world are subject to -- agree with the demands of a self-centered activist focussing his extreme and uninformed views of the world in a setting that is not political and vote for that view because it is in the best interest of the planet???? Really, people who can't even talk to an 80-year old actress in a play that has nothing to do with Israel and similar people are not going to save the planet.
My message to Nessel is equally stark. Support of Israel, the place of residence for over 50 percent of the world's oldest religion, is support for human rights and support for the planet.
