A colleague turns his back on her, are we in third grade??? there are still some democratic centrist left. Risky business turning your back when you need 218 to get speaker. I prefer Glueskamp Perez for speaker over Jeffries.

this update and statistical forecast of the contest for control of the house looks are nearly 70 pivotal races. the forecast or expected result based on district by district numbers is really close in a year where there are a lot of headwinds facing the republicans. it appears as though concern about Trump's performance and general Trump fatigue is canceled in part by distaste for "progressive" candidates in rural areas and in some cases the progressive face of the party in an urban area is sinking the nominee in a more rural district. https://www.economicmemos.com/p/who-will-control-the-house-in-2026
